There is a Cosplay Party hosted by Japan Society, Cosplay Party 2.0!! So, get your cosplay and friends and join the fun! They will be screening the movie Evangelion You Are (Not) Alone; special guest include Uncle Yo; costume contest, and much more~! Check out for the details by clicking here.

A Premiere Japanese Pop Culture Experience is Coming Our Way!!

Hey BC!!

Something awesome is gonna happen on May 23rd [SUN]!! Wanna know? You think you are ready?? It is PJ “mini” Pop!!  In other words, it is a premiere of the Japanese pop culture, event which will be held at Dwyer Cultural Center on Sunday, May 23rd starting  from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM!! Come check it out!

There will be lots of stuff relating to the Japanese culture, especially centering on the theme of anime and manga.  Also, they will be featuring a Cosplay Cafe! and Reni-chan!! Gosh! I want to go already!

But that’s not all! They will have a karaoke contest, robot demonstrations, art exhibitions and mucho much moar!!! Come with your friends and family, or even better… COSPLAY!

Apple Kissa Maid Cafe at New York Anime Festival!

Moar good news!! New York Anime Festival 2010 comes back in hosting a maid cafe, the Apple Kissa Maid Cafe. To those who are into the trend of master/maid/butler, moe, and lotsa fun you are in luck! If you ever dreamed of being a maid for at least a day or two, NYAF is granting that opportunity to the public turn that into reality! Anyone who is interested in volunteering to serve as a maid or even butler for a day or the whole weekend for NYAF, click here for more details and application.

**Great chance for those who wanted to help out as maids for the BC Anime Manga club’s Maid Cafe, event which switched to Cosplay Cafe.

BC Anime & Manga [Club] invites you to a very special movie screening, Eureka Seven: Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers.

To all Eureka Seven fans out there, you should definitely check this movie out! And for those who still have not seen any Eureka Seven franchise, this is a way to start…! It will certainly grab your attention, not only because of the exquisite animation/artwork, but the story is a journey that will transport you to a world of AWESOMENESS. =D

“The characters from the popular TV series Eureka Seven are back in a completely original story for a theatrical feature!”
For almost half a century, mankind has been at war with a mysterious entity known as the EIZO. In the middle of this war are two teenagers, Renton and Eureka; two childhood friends who were separated when Eureka was kidnapped by government forces eight years ago. Renton is now a soldier, piloting the Nirvash, aboard the GEKKO led by Holland Novak. Renton and Eureka are now reunited and fate will test the young lovers as they fight the EIZO, government forces and even Holland. Their love will be the key to mankind’s future and fulfi lling their dreams.

Produced by BONES (Sword of the Stranger, Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven’s Door, Wolf’s Rain, Halo Legends), directed by Tomoki Kyoda who reprises his role from the TV Series, screened nationwide on over 400 theaters.
